Wow what a weekend!
Morning, I just wanted to take a few minutes to reflect on this weekend and to thank all our customers so much for your ongoing support of our small business, we really appreciate it!

MK Beauty Awards 2018 - Nominated for Best Lash Technician Category
I was so happy to be a finalist in this category, lashing is something I am so passionate about and continually train and improve and update my skills. I really appreciate all the nominations and votes from our customers, never in a million years did I think I would win anything!
Judging Process
Some people have queried the judging process, it is my first time entering for an award but I think it was rigorous and more detailed than I expected. You had to submit an application detailing why you should be nominated, clients and customers then had to nominate and vote for you. Finalists in each category were announced and then a judge visited you and assessed you at work. Katie Godfrey (KG Professionals) came to see me whilst I was completing a lash infill on my client, she watched me create the volume fans, apply the lashes, we discussed why I had selected the lash weights, lengths etc. and the eye type and styling I had chosen. I create individually styled lash maps for my clients, there is no one size fits all when it comes to lashes so was happy to discuss all of these details.
Awards Night 20th October
A great night, mixing with so many people in the industry and especially others from our local area.
I believe wholeheartedly that we need to support one another in this industry and definitely felt that this was the case during this event.
I am delighted that I came runner up winner in my category, I was shocked but so very pleased and proud.
It really does go to show that if you work hard enough you really can achieve anything you put your mind to!
