You can't have a rainbow without a little rain!

What a week and what challenging times we are all experiencing! I just wanted to take the time to give a little more detail around the recent events. It feels like everything has happened very quickly and I've had to make rush decisions but I think the seriousness of the COVID 19 virus really started to hit me and the nation at the end of last week.

I had been considering how safe it was for my clients, myself and my family to continue opening my business. Obviously I had been taking steps like deep cleaning the salon, sanitising, washing hands, wearing aprons and an FFP3 mask, but ultimately I work in such close proximity to you all when creating your luscious lashes and other treatments it began to feel like I was going against the governments social distancing advice of remaining 2 metres apart.

The announcement on Friday afternoon from the government to close all pubs, restaurants, gyms, spa and wellness centres etc. just solidified my decision to close for now. I feel everyone needs to take COVID 19 very seriously and we all must socially distance ourselves and stay at home to protect our NHS who are under immense strain at the moment. It is so hard because owning your own business and building it up takes such a lot of hard work and dedication, its a bit like 'your baby'. It is a heart breaking decision to close or 'pause' as I prefer to refer to it, but ultimately it would be more heart breaking to me to get or to pass on or in any way help this virus to spread to more people. I have been so uplifted and touched by the wonderful and incredibly kind messages from my clients. Your support means the absolute world to me. So, whilst I am 'paused' and not carrying out 1-1 client treatments I am not stopping! I shall be working on my business. I will finish my teacher training course so I can eventually teach others how to create fabulous lashes. I will plan some exciting offers for when we un-pause and I will be keeping in touch with you all. I am putting together some home pamper packages that you can purchase and I can deliver (if local in Brackley) or post elsewhere if the post office is still up and running. Hopefully these will help you with your own self care during this time at home. What would you like from me? What can I be doing for you during this time? Do you have any ideas, things you have seen and thought it would be great if Laura offered X or I saw this at online or in another salon and think this would work really well for me. Any ideas would be gratefully received :-) I am going to be keeping in regular contact with you all. Us small self employed businesses need your continued love and support. L - Like my creative content, it keeps me visible. O - Only postpone, don't cancel V - Vouchers are available online, purchase now for use later. E - Endorse my business by leaving reviews online. I am so thankful to have you all as clients and friends and your support is helping me through these challenging times. Together we will get through this. Lets keep as positive as we can.

If you need anything, even just a chat, or you need some supplies and you are local to me and are isolating please message me and I will try my best to help you. Stay safe, stay home, protect our NHS. Much love, Laura xxxx
